The Fifth Meeting of the Third Council of the Copper Industry Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) convened on Wednesday (24th) in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province. The issue of persistently low copper concentrate processing fees, stemming from the involutionary competition within the copper smelting industry, has become a key focus. The CNIA attaches great importance to the issue of involution in copper smelting, Chen Xuesen, Vice President of the CNIA, said. It has specifically submitted materials to relevant national departments, which have been given due attention. Currently, relevant national departments are accelerating research on concrete measures to strengthen standardized management of copper smelting output construction.
