CN Oil & Gas Production Equivalent Sets All-time High in 2024

In 2024, the oil and gas production equivalent in mainland China hit a record high, exceling 400 million tons for the first time, and maintaining the momentum of rapid growth of tens of millions of tons for eight years in a row, according to data released by the National Energy Administration (NEA).

Among which, crude oil production hit 213 million tons in 2024, up 24 million tons from 2018; and natural gas production amounted to 246.4 billion cubic meters, with an average annual growth of over 13 billion cubic meters in the past six years.
