German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is having an official visit to China today and tomorrow. According to CCTV reports, Merz arrived in Beijing this morning (25th), marking his first visit to China since taking office and becoming the first foreign leader received by China in the Year of the Horse.

During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Merz, and Premier Li Qiang will hold talks with him to exchange views on bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.
